Since she walked the runway in Milan for Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring Summer ’17 show, Lori Harvey has been on a roll. But despite the 25-year-old model’s famous last name (her adopted father is the iconic TV host Steve Harvey), and her romantic affiliation with a certain mega-star, Harvey has forged a path all her own. Last year, the model and entrepreneur launched a beauty line, SKN by LH, and collaborated on a capsule collection with Naked Wardrobe. Most recently, Harvey became the first cover star of Instagram’s fledgling print offering, The Zine, under the creative direction of SUN-NY SIDE UP—a disruptive woman-led creative agency based in New York. With 5 million followers on Instagram and paparazzi documenting her every move, Harvey has quickly become one of Gen Z’s most iconic it girls. Earlier this week, Harvey celebrated her Zine cover with a night out at Delilah’s—a favored spot for L.A.’s glitterati. The evening echoed the ’90s feel of Harvey’s cover shoot—guests posed for Polaroids, filled out Cosmo-esque icebreaker questionnaires, and danced to R&B classics. During dinner, Harvey sat down with Interview for a chat about what she’s hate watching, how to slay an OOTD picture, and what’s always in her bag.

INTERVIEW: What’s the secret to slaying a fit pic?

HARVEY: Confidence. And knowing your angles.

INTERVIEW: Do you get shy on camera?

HARVEY: Absolutely. I have to warm up with some test shots for a quick second before I really get into my groove.

INTERVIEW: What do you hate-watch?

HARVEY: Those relationship shows, like Too Hot To Handle. Definitely a love-hate relationship, but they suck me in.

INTERVIEW: Do you like being watched?

HARVEY: I would say I’ve gotten used to it.

INTERVIEW: How do you get attention?

HARVEY: Just by being myself.

INTERVIEW: What ’90s movie do you know by heart?

HARVEY: Save The Last Dance. Super random, but I loved that movie growing up.

INTERVIEW: Which show do you watch the most?

HARVEY: Lately, Snowfall has been the only thing that can hold my attention.

INTERVIEW: L.A. has too many…

HARVEY: …People. Traffic is almost always insane, no matter what time of day it is.

INTERVIEW: L.A. doesn’t have enough…

HARVEY: Good soul food. And Jamaican restaurants.

INTERVIEW: Who do you love?

HARVEY: My family and friends.

INTERVIEW: What is the best beauty trick you’ve learned from social media?

HARVEY: Applying my setting powder with a powder puff instead of my beauty blender or makeup brush. Game changer.

INTERVIEW: Lip gloss or chapstick? Why?

HARVEY: Lip gloss, because it makes my lips pop.

INTERVIEW: Who is your favorite fashion personality to follow?

HARVEY: @Aureta… she’s bomb.

INTERVIEW: How would you describe your style in three words?

HARVEY: Effortless, chic, clean.

INTERVIEW: What is the best time to show up to the after-party?

HARVEY: If it starts at 12, I’ll probably arrive around 1:30.

INTERVIEW:  What’s in your purse?

HARVEY: My lipgloss, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, baby hair brush, ID, and credit card.
